A rare case report of fibrous dysplasia of maxillary bone causing progressive vision loss: Case report

Fibrous dysplasia is a benign tumor of bone, uncommonly affecting the maxilla, congenital, recurrent character and etiology unknown, caused by bone modeling disorder in which normal replaced immature fibrous tissue. The lesion may involve one or more bones being maxilla facial affected. We report case monostotic variety male patient complaining progressive swelling rt that compress inferior orbital finally produce significant loss vision. In this case, Computed Tomography (CT) was main radiographic examination to demonstrate extension radiodensity assumes craniofacial bones, therefore fundamental importance surgical planning longitudinal follow-up operated patient. diagnosis confirmed anatopathology treatment choice removal [total maxillectomy followed reconstruction palate defect. This article also aims review clinical, radiological, histopathological, differential treatment.
